This print is about the last star called “Djulpan”. It is a Yirritja moiety, my grandmother’s painting. I watched my grandmother’s hands when I was little. This is how I learned to do my own prints. I am 26 years of age. I started working at the Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Art Centre when I was 16 years old and became one of its youngest artists back then, following in my grandmother’s footsteps. My grandmother’s paintings were about the stars as well, but she used many different colours. I chose these colours because I like it.
