Wak wak

This design comes from a swampy place (wetlands).

The two goanna (water monitor) are called Wan’kawu, Wak wak are the lillies, dhatum the bulb. It’s the beginning of the wet season (Wolma murrunaray). When things are fresh & bloom. The flowers are opening.

New life (new cycle) the goannas are going hunting for ŋätha (food) in the rapiny gapu (freshwater). They eat little fish, beetles, shrimp.

The wayin (bird) Ŋerrk (sulphur-crested cockatoo) ga Ganytjurr (heron) are fishing for guya (fish) swimming past.
