30 x 40cm Paper: SOMERSET VELVET 38 x 56cm
As told by the artist
‘This is a Dirridirri – the thorn in the bush. When we walk through the bush its not good for us to walk on top of that Dirridirri. It will spike our feet and cause pain. And it’s not good for us to eat because it’s poisonous.’
This print is part of a series in which the artists has depicted three areas of her country – the sand, the bush and the water. Intrinsically linked the three prints show the designs found in nature everyday that are usually unrecognised.
