On a recent trip to Melbourne, Nyapanyapa went to the VCA Printmaking School. There she produced three lithographic stones. Lithography is a printmaking technique where the artist works directly on a heavy stone using particular mediums to create marks. The stone is then etched and printed using water and ink.
Here Nyapanyapa tells us the story of her in the bush at her homeland Dhaniya. She is looking for larrani – a wild apple that ripens in Rarranhdharr, the build up season.
