Garraŋali at Yilpara (Yathikpa)
This story is about the country around Yilpara.
The two circles on the left hand side are Garraŋali (crocodile nests), and around them is the saltwater.
In the centre is the Yiŋapiŋapu which represents the three places – Garrapara,Yilpara and Djarrakpi.
When after hunting and the fish are been eaten the bones are thrown into the Yiŋapiŋapu.
The dots on the sand are the Gunyan ( sand crabs).
I enjoyed doing this kind of work, after seeing my grandfathers work it showed me that I too can do something different, as to what I am used to doing.
