Description
Gatjpu! is short for Gatjpuy’yun which means ‘Wish!’ or ‘hope for / look forward to’ in Yolŋu Matha. It is a wishful appeal to the spirits. When out hunting it is vocalised, “Brrrr, Brrrr”, calling upon the spirits for a prosperous hunt.
