Burnganydji helps her uncle Guwaykuway Wanambi (now deceased). She now paints in her own right. She began to paint in a highly pedantic formal style with great detail at a very young age which was unusual in the case of a young woman whose patrilineal line was from far to the West of the Miwatj side of NE Arnhem. It was a measure of his trust and respect for her that he gave her this role and she has continued to honour that precise style following his death.
