Rrawun Maymuru is the lead singer of East Journey Band.
As a young artist, Rrawuṉ became involved in printmaking. He worked at the local Yirrkala Banana Plantation. Rrawuṉ attended the Yirrkala Community Education Centre where his mother is a teacher and at an early age his artworks accompanied by textual information featured in several of the Yu=ana Dhåwu community magazines.
He resides at Yirrkala community with his wife and family.
