The name of the snake is Gamarrana. It lies beneath mangrove trees and is surrounded by saltwater.
The snake is at a place called Baraltja, which is near Blue Mud Bay and it is a hunting place for Yolŋu people.
The etching design by Wurrandan belongs to his clan, the Maḏarrpa clan.
