She was married to Madarrpa artist Watjinbuy Marawili for many years. She worked with him on the production of sculpture until his death. She moved to Groote Eyelandt for over ten years and returned in 2016. It was noticeable that her precise style of making carvings was very reminiscent of the heyday of such works in the 70s when she began helping her husband.
